Work continued after a few quick
bites of chicken from the local Hy
Vee and the team began to button
up the car.
Sponsors are extremely important
to all racers but no more so than
those drivers who operate on a
small budget.  If you are a fan and
you have a choice, help support
those who support the sport you
love.
Is the car ready?  The crew
discusses the last minute details.
The car is ready...and it is
BEAUTIFUL!
Smiles all around.  Everyone has
worked hard today to get this car
together.  A few minor things are
needed that will be taken care of
when the Jocko trailer opens.
Many of Robert's fans stopped by
to let him know they were happy
that he was going to race.
Ready to race...the car is being
pushed to the infield.
The car fired as it was pushed off
but the team could not get the oil
pressure to come up.  A very
disappointed team stands by as
the car misses hot laps and looks
for the source of the problem.  It
looked as though racing at the
2007 Knoxville Nationals was not
going to happen for the 71.
Despite a very disappointing
Friday, Robert was able to come
back and race both Saturday
afternoon and evening.  It was a
great finish to a very emotional
weekend.  Here's to you Robert!
You made your fans proud!
